Sheeran's ÷ notches up 15th week at #1

Debuts for Stone Sour, Calvin Harris and more!

After returning to the top spot last week, ÷ holds #1 again this week for Ed Sheeran. It’s the album’s 14th week in the top spot. With this being the 28th chart for 2017, ÷ has spent half of the year to date at #1.

Following Katy Perry’s promo tour this week, Witness has climbed back up six spots to #4. It’s the album’s fourth week in the chart. ‘Swish Swish’ has picked up a new peak on the Singles Chart, jumping up 22 spots to #22.

Moving up three spots from #11 to #8, Kendrick Lamar’s Damn. returns to the top ten for an eleventh week.

In its fourth week in the top 50, Hillsong United’s most recent release moves back up 14 spots to #9. Wonder’s resurgence coincides with the religious organisation’s annual conference.

This week’s top 50 also includes sizable moves up the chart from Adele’s 25 (up six to #12), The Weeknd’s Starboy (up eight to #20), Bruno Mars’ 24k Magic (up eight to #22), Shawn Mendes’ Illuminate (up 19 to #24) and Taylor Swift’s 1989 (up nine to #32).

Debuts:

#2: Stone Sour ‘Hydrograd’ – American rock band Stone Sour score their highest ever peak on the ARIA Albums Chart with Hydrograd. The group’s sixth studio album comes four years on from House of Gold & Bones Part 2 (#4 Apr. ’13), their previous chart peak.

#5: Calvin Harris ‘Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1’ – Calvin Harris picks up his third top five debut on the ARIA Albums Chart with fifth studio album Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1. The Scottish DJ/producer’s follow-up to Motion (#3 Nov. ’14) includes the singles ‘Slide’ (#11 Mar. ’17), ‘Heatstroke’ (#23 Apr. ’17), ‘Rollin’ (#40 May ’17) and ‘Feels’ (#9 Jul. ’17). It also features a long list of guest vocalists including Katy Perry, Frank Ocean, Migos, John Legend, Arianna Grande, Nicki Minaj, Pharrell, Snoop Dogg and more.

#14: Tex, Don & Charlie ‘You Don't Know Lonely’ – Australian supergroup Tex, Don & Charlie reunite for their third studio album, You Don't Know Lonely. The album’s release is twelve years on from their last release, All Is Forgiven (#58 Oct. ’05), which was released twelve years after their debut Sad But True (#40 Jan .94).

#31: Superfruit ‘Future Friends - Part One’ – Superfruit is a musical comedy duo consisting of Mitch Grassi and Scott Hoying, who are also members of the a cappella group Pentatonix. Having been friends since the age of ten, the EP consists of songs about the duo’s relationship. A second EP, Future Friends - Part Two is set for release in September. Pentatonix last charted with PTX, Vol. 4 (#10 Apr. ’17).
