Who'll top this week's ARIA Charts?

Contenders include Mastodon, Jamiroquai, Body Count and more.

On last week’s ARIA Charts, Ed Sheeran held the #1s on the Albums and Singles Charts for the fourth week in a row. ‘Shape Of You’ took out its twelfth week at #1 on the Singles Chart, while ÷ scored a fourth week at #1 on the Albums Chart.

Which acts will be aiming to make an impact on this week’s ARIA Charts?

Let’s have a look at some of the contenders.


American metal band Mastodon could pick up their second top ten appearance with seventh album Emperor Of Sand; Britfunk act Jamiroquai could chart for the first time since 2010 with Automaton; Ice T-fronted metal band Body Count could return to the top 50 for the first time since 1994 with Bloodlust; former Noiseworks front man Jon Stevens could pick up his second solo top 50 entry – and first since 1993 – with Starlight; Sydney duo Polish Club release their debut album Alright Already; British electronic duo Goldfrapp –return with their first album in four years, Silver Eye; with his thirty-eighth studio album, the legendary Bob Dylan releases his first ever triple album, Triplicate; Jimmy Barnes and The Wiggles team up for the children’s album Och Aye The G'nu; Icelandic band Kaleo could make their top 50 debut with A/B.

Albums that could make a move up the chart this week include the soundtracks to Moana and Sing, Rag'N'Bone Man’s Human, Fleetwood Mac’s Tango In The Night and Hilltop Hoods’ Drinking From The Sun, Walking Under Stars Restrung.


After debuting at #35 last week with ‘The Heart Part 4’, Kendrick Lamar could pick up another chart entry with ‘Humble.’; Calvin Harris could score a second Singles Chart entry for 2017 with the Young Thug, Pharrell Williams and Ariana Grande-featured track ‘Heatstroke’; with debut album Memories...Do Not Open set for release at the end of the week, The Chainsmokers could score a third chart entry from the album with ‘The One’; R&B star Jason Derulo could make his first Singles Chart appearance in a year with ‘Swalla’; Bliss N Eso could score a second top 50 single from forthcoming album Off The Grid with ‘Moments’; Californian trio Cheat Codes could grab a third top 50 single with the Demi Lovato-featuring ‘No Promises’.

Look out for moves up the Singles Chart this week by Ed Sheeran’s ‘Galway Girl’, Little Mix’s ‘Touch’, Alessia Cara’s ‘How Far I'll Go’, Future’s ‘Mask Off’ and Rag'N'Bone Man’s ‘Human’.
