Who'll top this week's ARIA Charts?

Contenders include Kasey Chambers, AFI and more.

At the top of the ARIA Charts last week, The xx scored their first #1 on the Albums Chart with I See You. On the Singles Chart, Ed Sheeran held #1 for a second week with ‘Shape Of You’.

Which artists will we see challenging for the prime positions on the ARIA Charts this week?

Let’s check out some of the contenders.


Singer-songwriter Kasey Chambers could be set to take out her fourth #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart with Dragonfly; American band AFI will be aiming for a third top ten appearance with tenth album AFI (The Blood Album); Brisbane deathcore band Aversions Crown could make their top 50 debut with Xenocide; American band Starset may make their top 50- debut with second album Vessels; prog rock veteran Mike Oldfield could return to the top 50 for the first time since 1992 with Return To Ommadawn.

Look out for moves up the Albums Chart by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds’ Skeleton Tree, Bruce Springsteen’ Chapter And Verse, James Arthur’s Back From The Edge and Childish Gambino’s "Awaken, My Love!".


Little Mix could pick up a second Singles Chart entry from Glory Days (#2 Nov. ’16) with ‘Touch’; American songwriter Julia Michaels could make her solo debut on ‘Issues’; British boy band The Vamps could hit the top 50 for the first time since 2014 with ‘All Night’.

Singles that could jump up the chart this week include Pnau’s ‘Chameleon’, Alessia Cara’s ‘Scars To Your Beautiful’ and ‘How Far I'll Go’, Amy Shark’s ‘Adore’, Snakehips & MØ’s ‘Don't Leave’ and Sia’s ‘Move Your Body’.
