Who'll top this week's ARIA Charts?

September 13, 2017

New releases come from The National, Anthony Callea, Jack Johnson and more.

Last week’s ARIA Charts saw Taylor Swift holding the top spot on the Singles Chart for a second week with ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ and Ed Sheeran returning to #1 on the Albums Chart for a 20th week with ÷.

Which acts have a chance of taking out the top spots on this week’s ARIA Charts?

Let’s take a look at some of the possible debutants and movers.

American band The National could pick up their second top three debut with their first album in four years, Sleep Well Beast; a year on from topping the Albums Chart with Backbone (#1 Sept. ’16), Anthony Callea could be vying for another chart-topper with ARIA Number 1 Hits In Symphony; singer-songwriter Jack Johnson could pick up a seventh top three peak with All The Light Above It Too; American country artist Kip Moore could pick up a second top 50 entry with third album Slowheart; British band Nothing But Thieves return with second album Broken Machine; Seattle electronic duo Odesza could hit the top 50- for the first time with third album A Moment Apart; Swedish melodic death metal band Arch Enemy might make their top 50 debut thanks to tenth album Will To Power; the legendary Neil Young releases the archival album Hitchhiker; American country singer-songwriter Thomas Rhett will be looking for his first top 50 entry with third album Life Changes; the soundtrack to Twin Peaks (Music From The Limited Event Series) could become the second album from the series to chart in the to 50; American country artist Dustin Lynch could make his top 50 debut with third album Current Mood.

Albums that could make a move up the chart include Lana Del Rey’s Lust For Life, Drake’s More Life and more.

Sam Smith could hit the Singles Chart for the first time since 2015 with ‘Too Good At Goodbyes’; Zayn teams up with Sia on ‘Dusk Till Dawn’, the second track released from his forthcoming second album; Hailee Steinfeld joins forces with Alesso for new track ‘Let Me Go’.

Look out for moves up this week’s Singles Chart by Imagine Dragons’ ‘Thunder’, Logic’s ‘1-800-273-825’, Vance Joy’s ‘Lay It On Me’ and more.

The weekly ARIA Charts announcement happens every Saturday at 5pm.
