A Star Is Born soundtrack notches up seventh week at #1

Debuts for The 1975, Meek Mill, Ski Mask The Slump God and more!

For the seventh consecutive week, the soundtrack to A Star Is Born, featuring Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper, is #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart.
 
Christmas by Michael Bublé continues its climb back up the chart, jumping four spots to #5 in its 49th week in the Top 50.
 
Continuing its chart resurgence after winning multiple ARIA Awards, Amy Shark’s Love Monster moves up two spots to return to the Top Ten for a sixth week.
 
In its 18th week in the Top 50, Friends For Christmas, the former #1 from ARIA Hall Of Fame members John Farnham and Olivia Newton-John climbs up 16 spots.
 
There are five other Christmas albums in this week’s chart: Mariah Carey’s Merry Christmas (#14), Human Nature’s The Christmas Album (#15), Mark Vincent’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year (#17), David Campbell’s Baby It’s Christmas (#18) and Samantha Jade’s The Magic Of Christmas (#28).
 
With ‘Thank U, Next’ holding #1 on the Singles Chart for a fourth week, Ariana Grande has jumped eight spots to #23 with previous former #1 album Sweetener.

#4: The 1975 ‘A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships’ – British band The 1975 take out a second Top Ten on the ARIA Albums Chart with A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships. The group’s third album comes more than two years on from previous release, I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It (#1 Mar. ’16). A fourth album by The 1975, Notes On A Conditional Form, is expected in May 2019.
 
#30: Meek Mill ‘Championships’ – Releasing his fourth studio album, Championships, American rapper Meek Mill scores his second entry in the ARIA Top 50. The follow-up to 2017’s Wins & Losses, it’s Meek Mill’s first chart appearance since Dreams Worth More Than Money (#26 Jul. ’15). Championships features appearances by Drake, Rick Ross, Jay-Z, Cardi B and more.
 
#35: Ski Mask The Slump God ‘Stokeley’ – Ski Mask The Slump God makes his ARIA Charts debut with Stokeley. The debut album from the American rapper, whose real name is Stokeley Goulbourne, includes guest performances by Juice Wrld, Lil Yachty and more.
 
#40: Earl Sweatshirt ‘Some Rap Songs’ – American rapper Earl Sweatshirt score a third Top 50 entry with Some Rap Songs. Sweatshirt’s third album comes three years on from I Don't Like Shit, I Don't Go Outside: An Album by Earl Sweatshirt (#33 Mar. ’15). Between albums, he released the EP Solace.
 
#48: Clean Bandit ‘What Is Love?’ – British Electronic act Clean Bandit make their first appearance in the Top 50 of the ARIA Albums Chart with What Is Love? The group’s second album is the follow-up to 2014’s New Eyes and includes the singles ‘Rockabye’ (#1 Dec. ’16), ‘Symphony’ (#4 May ’17), ‘I Miss You’ (#20 Jan. ’18) and ‘Solo’ (#7 Jul. ’18). Guests on the album include Big Boi, Craig David, Demi Lovato, Zara Larsson, Rita Ora, Julia Michaels and more.
