Psycho gives Post Malone second #1 single

May 5, 2018

The American rapper also equals two ARIA Singles Chart records!

In the same week his second album Beerbongs & Bentleys debuts at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart, American rapper Post Malone scores his second chart-topper on the ARIA Singles Chart with ‘Psycho’. Malone first topped the chart with ‘Rockstar’ in November 2017 (it’s at #12 this week).

Malone has 17 tracks in this week’s Top 50, including 13 debuts (see below). He equals Michael Jackson’s July 2009 record for most tracks in the Top 50 and Ed Sheeran’s March 2017 record for most debuts in one week in the ARIA Top 50.

Moving up one spot in its fourth week in the Top 50, ‘One Kiss’ hits the Top Five for the first time. It’s Calvin Harris’ seventh Top Five entry and Dua Lipa’s third.

In its third week, ‘Youngblood’, the title track of 5 Seconds Of Summer’s forthcoming third studio album, has moved up two to grab a new peak at #24.

The lead single from Amy Shark’s debut album continues its climb up the chart. It’s moved six places from #34 to #28 in its third week in the Top 50.

Kygo has a new peak at #33 with ‘Remind Me To Forget’.

#4: Post Malone ‘Better Now’ – On top of having the #1 single and album on this week’s ARIA Charts, American rapper Post Malone has scored 13 debuts on this week’s Singles Chart. ‘Better Now’ takes out the highest debut at #4 and is followed by ‘Paranoid’ (#10), ‘Ball For Me’ (#14), ‘Spoil My Night’ (#19), ‘Rich & Sad’ (#21), ‘Same Bitches’ (#25), ‘Over Now’ (#27), ‘Stay’ (#30), ‘Zack And Codeine’ (#32), ‘Takin' Shots’ (#36), ‘Otherside’ (#41), ‘Blame It On Me’ (#43) and ‘92 Explorer’ (#44).
