Bardot - Bardot

The first album from Bardot gave the Australian girl group their sole #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart when it debuted in the top spot in May 2000. Bardot was formed out of the first Australian series of reality TV show Popstars. The album held #1 on the Albums Chart in its debut week before going on to spend nine weeks in the Top Ten and 19 weeks in the Top 50.

Bardot featured the singles ‘Poison’ (#1 Apr. ’00), ‘I Should've Never Let You Go’ (#14 Jun. ’00) and ‘These Days’ (#19 Sept. ’00). The album was accredited 2x Platinum and was #20 on the 2000 ARIA End Of Year Albums Chart.

Bardot released one more album – Play It Like That (#16 Nov. ’01) – before splitting in 2002.

Destiny's Child - Say My Name

Destiny’s Child’s only #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart came when ‘Say My Name’ spent four straight weeks in the top spot in May 2000. Taken from the group’s second album The Writing's On The Wall (#2 May ’00), the single debuted at #48 in February ’00 and reached #1 for the first time in its eleventh week in the top 50. In total, ‘Say My Name’ spent nine weeks in the Top Ten and 23 weeks in the Top 50.

Accredited 2x Platinum, ‘Say My Name’ was #5 on the 2000 ARIA End Of Year Singles Chart.

Destiny’s Child scored nine Top Ten singles on the ARIA Charts during their career. They last charted with the single ‘Cater 2 U’ (#15 Aug. ’05). The group split in 2006.
