Delta Goodrem - Innocent Eyes

Delta Goodrem’s debut album was the first of the singer-songwriter’s four albums to reach #1 on the ARIA Chart to date. Innocent Eyes debuted at #1 in March 2003 and spent a total of 29 weeks in the top spot, the record for most weeks at #1 by an Australian album in ARIA Charts history. It spent a total of 46 weeks in the Top Ten and 63 weeks in the Top 50.

Innocent Eyes featured five #1 singles: ‘Born To Try’ (#1 Dec. ’02), ‘Lost Without You’ (#1 Mar. ’03), ‘Innocent Eyes’ (#1 Jun. ’03), ‘Not Me, Not I’ (#1 Sept. ’03) and ‘Predictable’ (#1 Dec. ’03). It was #1 on the ARIA End Of Year Albums Chart in 2003 and #16 on the same chart in 2004. It’s been accredited 15x Platinum.

Goodrem has since topped the ARIA Albums Chart for one week each with Mistake Identity (#1 Nov. ’04), Delta (#1 Oct. ’07) and Wings Of The Wild (#1 Jul. ’16). Most recently she charted with the Olivia Newton-John covers album I Honestly Love You (#4 May ’18).


The Black Eyed Peas - Where Is The Love?

American hip hop group The Black Eyed Peas scored their first chart-topper on the ARIA Singles Chart when ‘Where Is The Love?’ spent six weeks at #1 between August and October, 2003. The first single from the group’s third album, Elephunk (#1 Aug. ’04), it spent its first three weeks in the chart at #2 before hitting #1 for the first time. It first spent four weeks at #1 in August/September before dropping down for two weeks. It returned to #1 for two weeks in October.

In total, ‘Where Is The Love?’ spent 19 weeks in the Top Ten and 25 weeks in the Top 50. It was accredited 4x Platinum and landed at #3 on the 2003 ARIA End Of Year Singles Chart.

‘Where Is The Love?’ was the first Black Eyed Peas single to feature Fergie as a group member. It also includes an uncredited appearance by Justin Timberlake.

The Black Eyed Peas have topped the ARIA Singles Chart with a further seven tracks: ‘Shut Up’ (#1 Dec. ’03), ‘Don't Phunk With My Heart’ (#1 May ’05), ‘My Humps’ (#1 Nov. ’05), ‘Boom Boom Pow’ (#1 May ’09), ‘I Gotta Feeling’ (#1 Jun. ’09), ‘Meet Me Halfway’ (#1 Nov. ’09) and ‘The Time (Dirty Bit)’ (#1 Nov. ’10).

The group’s most recent chart appearance was with a re-recording of ‘Where Is The Love?’ featuring additional vocals by a host of artists including Jamie Foxx, Ty Dolla $ign, Mary J. Blige, Diddy, Jessie J, French Montana, DJ Khaled, Usher, Nicole Scherzinger, ASAP Rocky, Jaden Smith and more. It peaked at #15 in September 2016.
