Pete Murray - Summer At EUreka

The third studio album from Pete Murray became the singer-songwriter’s third #1 on the ARIA Charts when it debuted in the top spot in May 2008. The follow-up to See The Sun (#1 Oct. ’05), Summer At Eureka went on to spend a total of nine weeks in the Top Ten and 21 weeks in the Top 50.

Singles released from the album included ‘You Pick Me Up’ (#36 Jun. ’08) and ‘Saving Grace’ (#44 Sept. ’08). Summer At Eureka was accredited Platinum and landed at #26 on the 2008 ARIA End Of Year Albums Chart.

The album earned Murray a nomination for Best Male Artist at the 2008 ARIA Awards.

Pete Murray first topped the ARIA Albums Chart with Feeler (#1 Apr. ’04). His most recent chart appearance was with Camacho (#3 Jun. ’17).


Gabriella Cilmi - Sweet About Me

Melbourne singer-songwriter Gabriella Cilmi scored her only #1 to date on the ARIA Charts when ‘Sweet About Me’ spent five weeks at the top of the Singles Chart during the first half of 2008. The second single released from Cilmi’s debut album, Lessons To Be Learned (#2 Jun. ’08), ‘Sweet About Me’ debuted at #13 in March 2008. It hit #1 for the first time in its fourth week in the charts. Spending the next four weeks at #2, it returned to #1 in its ninth week in the Top 50, spending four straight weeks there.

In total, ‘Sweet About Me’ spent 14 weeks in the Top Ten and 32 weeks in the Top 50. The single was accredited Platinum and hit #3 on the 2008 ARIA End Of Year Singles Chart.

Cilmi won six categories at the 2008 ARIA Awards including Best Female Artist, Single Of The Year and Highest Selling Single.

‘Sweet About Me’ was followed up with ‘Don't Wanna Go To Bed Now’ (#28 Sept. ’08). Cilmi’s last Singles Chart entry was with ‘On A Mission’ (#16 Feb. ’10).
