Miley Cyrus - Breakout

Miley Cyrus took out the first of her two #1s to date on the ARIA Albums Chart when Breakout held the top spot for one week in September 2008. Cyrus’ second studio album and the first not associated with the TV series Hannah Montana, Breakout debuted at #2 before hitting #1 in its second week in the chart. The album went on to spend a total of eight weeks in the Top Ten and 24 weeks in the Top 50.

One single from Breakout charted in the Top 50: ‘7 Things’ (#10 Sept. ’08). The album was accredited Platinum and hit #19 on the 2008 ARIA End Of Year Albums Chart.

Miley Cyrus has since hit #1 with Bangerz (#1 Oct. ’13). She last charted with Younger Now (#2 Oct. ’17).

Lady Gaga Feat. Colby O'Donis - Just Dance

The first of Lady Gaga’s three #1s so far on the ARIA Singles Chart came when debut single ‘Just Dance’ topped the chart for one week in September 2008. The first single from Lady Gaga’s debut album, The Fame (#3 Dec. ’09), ‘Just Dance’ debuted at #34 in July 2008 and hit #1 in its ninth week in the Top 50. The single spent 14 weeks in the Top Ten and 37 weeks in the Top 50.

‘Just Dance’ landed at #7 on the 2008 ARIA End Of Year Singles Chart. It was accredited 3x Platinum.

Lady Gaga has gone on to hit #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart with both ‘Poker Face’ (#1 Dec. ’08) and ‘Born This Way’ (#1 Feb. ’11). Her most recent Singles Chart appearance was with ‘The Cure’ (#10 May ’17).
