Who'll top this week's ARIA Charts?

April 25, 2018

New releases come from A Perfect Circle, J. Cole, Ariana Grande and more.

It was a week of new #1s on the ARIA Charts last week with the late Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu debuting at #1 on the Albums Chart with Djarimirri (Child Of The Rainbow) and Drake replacing himself at #1 on the Singles Chart with ‘Nice For What’.

Which acts will be vying for the top of this week’s ARIA Charts?

Here are some of the likely debutants and movers.

American progressive rock band A Perfect Circle return with their first album in 14 years, Eat The Elephant; hip hop artist J. Cole could score a second top ten entry with fifth album KOD; Samantha Jade takes on disco classics on her third album Best Of My Love; Kiwi singer-songwriter Kimbra releases her third album and first in four years, Primal Heart; veteran punks Pennywise release their twelfth album Never Gonna Die; Sting and Shaggy join forces on 44/876; British prog band TesseracT could make their debut Top 50 appearance with fourth album Sonder.

Following Avicii‘s passing, look out for re-entries from the albums True and Stories, as well as the EP Avici. Other albums that could make a move up the chart this week include Lorde’s Melodrama and Halsey’s Hopeless Fountain Kingdom.

Ariana Grande could return to the Top 50 for the first time since 2016 with ‘No Tears Left To Cry’; with her debut album set to drop, Anne-Marie could pick up another chart entry with ‘2002’; as well as KOD’s debut on the Albums Chart, J. Cole could hit the Singles Chart with ‘Photograph’, ‘ATM’, ‘Motiv8’ and ‘Kevin's Heart’.

The late Avicii could also make an impact on the Singles Chart with re-entries from ‘Wake Me Up’, ‘Levels’, ‘Hey Brother’ and ‘Without You’. Also look out for moves from Cardi B ‘I Like It’ and 5 Seconds Of Summer’s ‘Youngblood’.
