Who'll top this week's ARIA Charts?

June 20, 2018

New releases come from 5 Seconds Of Summer, Christina Aguilera, Mike Shinoda and more.

For the first time since July 2016, it was an Aussie double at the top of the ARIA Charts last week, with Brisbane’s Sheppard debuting at #1 on the Albums Chart with Watching The Sky and Sydney’s 5 Seconds Of Summer notching up their fourth straight week at #1 on the Singles Chart with ‘Youngblood’.

Who could challenge for the top spots on this week’s ARIA Charts?

Here are some of the likely debutants and movers.

5 Seconds Of Summer could be headed for their third #1 album with Youngblood; Christina Aguilera returns with her first album in six years, Liberation; Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda releases his debut solo album, Post Traumatic; Sydney duo Jess & Matt pay tribute to 60s folk on Songs From The Village; Beyoncé and Jay-Z release their first album as The Carters, Everything Is Love; American pop punk band State Champs could score a second Top 50 entry with Living Proof; Sydney electronic duo Cosmo's Midnight release their debut album, What Comes Next; hip hop veteran Nas returns with his eleventh album and first in six years, Nasir; guitar legend Buddy Guy could take out a third Top 50 entry with The Blues Is Alive And Well; Melbourne’s Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever could make their Albums Chart debut with Hope Downs; Sydney artist Ruel could hit the chart with his debut EP, Ready.

This week’s Albums Chart could include moves for Calum Scott’s Only Human, Eminem’s Curtain Call: The Hits, Bon Jovi’s This House Is Not For Sale and more.

Nicki Minaj could score a second Top 50 entry for 2018 with the Ariana Grande-featured ‘Bed’; Dutch DJ Martin Garrix joins forces with Khalid for ‘Ocean’; Conrad Sewell could make his first appearance in the Top 50 since 2016 with ‘Healing Hands’; Troye Sivan could hit the chart with a third track from the forthcoming Bloom album with the collaboration with Ariana Grande, ‘Dance To This’; Norwegian producer Kygo and American band Imagine Dragons team up for ‘Born To Be Yours’.

Look out for jumps up the Singles Chart this week by Anne-Marie’s ‘2002’, Clean Bandit’s ‘Solo’, Juice WRLD’s ‘Lucid Dreams’ and Peking Duk’s ‘Reprisal’, among others.
