August 29, 2018

New releases come from The Amity Affliction, BTS, Alice In Chains and more.

At the top of last week’s ARIA Charts Ariana Grande took out her third #1 album with Sweetener and Dean Lewis held #1 on the Singles Chart for a second week with ‘Be Alright’.

Which acts will we challenging for the top spots on this week’s ARIA Charts?

Let’s take a look at some of the potential debutants and movers.

Queensland metalcore band The Amity Affliction could be headed for their fourth straight #1 album with Misery; K-pop group BTS could take out a third Albums Chart entry with the compilation Love Yourself 'Answer'; hard rock veterans Alice In Chains release their first album in five years, Rainier Fog; ARIA Hall Of Fame member John Williamson releases his 20th studio album, Butcherbird; father and son Neil and Liam Finn release their first joint album, Lightsleeper; New York indie rockers Interpol return with sixth album, Marauder; country singer-songwriter Beccy Cole releases Lioness, her first solo album in three years; classical crossover quartet Il Divo release their ninth studio album, Timeless; Melbourne artist Mojo Juju could make her ARIA Top 50 debut with third album, Native Tongue.

This week’s Albums Chart could include moves by Cardi B’s Invasion Of Privacy, Keith Urban’s Graffiti U, Phil Collins’ The Singles, Dean Lewis’ Same Kind Of Different and more.

As well as looking likely to score a high debut on this week’s Albums Chart with Love Yourself 'Answer', BTS could score a new entry on the Singles Chart with the album’s lead single, ‘Idol’.

Look out for jumps from a number of singles including Jonas Blue’s ‘Rise’, Calvin Harris and Sam Smith’s ‘Promises’, Kygo and Imagine Dragons’ ‘Born To Be Yours’, Bazzi’s ‘Beautiful’ and Marshmello and Bastille’s ‘Happier’.
