Who'll top this week's ARIA Charts?

December 12, 2018

New releases come from XXXTentacion, Coldplay, The Carpenters and more.

No change again to the #1s on the ARIA Charts last week with Ariana Grande’s ‘Thank U, Next’ holding the top spot on the Singles Chart for a fourth week and Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s soundtrack to A Star Is Born hitting its seventh consecutive week at #1 on the Albums Chart.

Who could we see hitting the top spots on the ARIA Charts?

Here are some of the potential debutants and movers we could see this week.

ALBUMs

The late rapper XXXTentacion could take out a second Albums Chart entry for 2018 with the posthumous release Skins; Coldplay could score their first new entry in the Top 50 since 2015 with Live In Buenos Aires; classic tracks by The Carpenters get re-imagined on Carpenters With The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra; hip hop legend Ice Cube releases Everythangs Corrupt, his first studio album in eight years; Van Morrison releases his 40th studio album and second for 2018, The Prophet Speaks.

Look out for jumps up the Albums Chart this week by Michael Bublé’s Christmas, David Campbell’s Baby It's Christmas, Shawn Mendes’ Shawn Mendes, Elvis Presley’s Christmas With Elvis And The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Bon Jovi’s Greatest Hits and more.

Singles

At this stage there might not be any new entries in this week’s Top 50. Singles that could make a move up the chart include Ava Max’s ‘Sweet But Psycho’, Mark Ronson’s ‘Nothing Breaks Like A Heart’, Lukas Graham’s ‘Love Someone’ and Hilltop Hoods’ ‘Leave Me Lonely’.
