Who'll top this week's ARIA Charts?

February 14, 2018

New releases come from The Wombats, Hockey Dad, Adam Eckersley & Brooke McClymont and more.

The top of the ARIA Charts were unchanged last week: ‘God’s Plan’ by Drake held #1 on the Singles Chart for a second week and the soundtrack to The Greatest Showman clocked up a sixth week at #1 on the Albums Chart.

Who could we see making an impact of the ARIA Charts this week?

Let’s check out some of the possible debutants and movers we could see.

ALBUMs

The Kendrick Lamar-curated soundtrack Black Panther: The Album could hit the chart as the movie hits cinemas; British trio The Wombats could score a third top ten entry with Beautiful People Will Ruin Your Life; the soundtrack to Fifty Shades Freed could become the film series’ third album to chart; Wollongong duo Hockey Dad could make their top 50 debut with second album Blend Inn; country singer-songwriters Adam Eckersley and Brooke McClymont team up for the duo album Adam & Brooke; Scots Franz Ferdinand return with fifth album Always Ascending; indie duo MGMT release their first album in five years Little Dark Age.

This week’s chart could include a jump by Sam Smith’s second album The Thrill Of It All.

Singles

Hip hop trio Migos could score a second top 50 entry with ‘Stir Fry’; American producer Marshmello could score a third chart entry with his collaboration with English singer Anne Marie, ‘Friends’.

There could be moves up the Singles Chart this week for Rudimental’s ‘These Days’, Kendrick Lamar & SZA’s ‘All The Stars’, Liam Payne & Rita Ora’s ‘For You (Fifty Shades Freed)’, Bazzi’s ‘Mine’, Zedd & Grey’ ‘The Middle’ and more.

The weekly ARIA Charts announcement happens every Saturday at 5pm.
