Ariana Grande's Thank U, Next holds #1 for second week

Debuts for The Cat Empire, Florida Georgia Line, Avril Lavigne and more!

Ariana Grande holds the #1 spot on both ARIA Charts for a second straight week as Thank U, Next retains the top place on the Albums Chart. It becomes Grande’s first album to spend more than one week at #1.
 
With Queen still with three albums in the Top Ten, the compilation Greatest Hits II has moved up 13 spots to #27.
 
Currently touring Australia, the Red Hot Chili Peppers have moved up 21 places to #29 with Greatest Hits.

#4: The Cat Empire ‘Stolen Diamonds’ – Melbourne’s The Cat Empire release their eighth studio album, Stolen Diamonds. It’s the group’s first studio release since Rising With The Sun (#1 Mar. ’16) and their sixth to chart in the Top Ten. They also previously hit #1 with Two Shoes (#1 Apr. ’05).
 
#7: Florida Georgia Line ‘Can't Say I Ain't Country’ – Florida Georgia Line take out their second Top Ten album on the ARIA Charts with Can't Say I Ain't Country. It’s the American duo’s third studio album and features an appearance by Jason Derulo, as well as a version of the collaboration with Bebe Rexha, ‘Meant To Be’ (#2 Jan. ’18). Florida Georgia Line also peaked at #7 with previous album, Dig Your Roots (#7 Sept. ’16).
 
#9: Avril Lavigne ‘Head Above Water’ – Canadian singer-songwriter Avril Lavigne returns with Head Above Water, her first album in six years. Lavigne’s sixth studio album is also her sixth to hit the ARIA Top Ten and is the follow-up to her self-titled album (#7 Nov. ’13). Avril Lavigne has previously topped the Albums Chart with Let Go (#1 Dec. ’02), Under My Skin (#1 May ’04) and Goodbye Lullaby (#1 Mar. ’11).
 
#11: Methyl Ethel ‘Triage’ – Releasing Triage, their third album, Perth band Methyl Ethel take out a second ARIA Top 50 entry and a new peak. The follow-up to Everything Is Forgotten (#16 Mar. ’17) was recorded in front man Jake Webb’s home studio.
 
#32: Millencolin ‘SOS’ – Swedish punk band Millencolin return with ninth album, SOS. It becomes the quartet’s sixth album to chart in the ARIA Top 50 and first since True Brew (#16 May ’15).
 
#34: Drake ‘So Far Gone’ – Drake’s 2009 mixtape So Far Gone make its chart debut. Considered to be the Canadian rapper’s breakthrough release, it makes its first appearance on the Albums Chart following a reissue to mark its tenth anniversary. It becomes Drake’s eighth Top 50 entry on the chart and the first since Scorpion (#1 Jul. ’18).
 
#45: Dear Seattle ‘Don't Let Go’ – Dear Seattle make their ARIA Charts debut with Don’t Let Go.  The Sydney band’s debut album was produced by James Tidswell of Violent Soho. They’re heading out on a national tour in May/June in support of the release.
