May 8, 2019

New releases come from Vampire Weekend, Amon Amarth, Shawn Mendes and more.

At the top of the ARIA Charts last week, American star P!nk claimed her sixth #1 album as she debuted in the top spot with Hurts 2B Human. On the Singles Chart, it was week three at #1 for ‘Old Town Road’ by Lil Nas X.

Which artists could we see vying for the #1 on the ARIA Charts this week?

Let’s check out some of the possible debutants and movers.

American band Vampire Weekend return with their fourth album and first in six years, Father Of The Bride; Swedish melodic death metal band Amon Amarth could take out a second Top 50 entry with Berserker; Sydney singer-songwriter Ruby Fields could make her Albums Charts debut with Permanent Hermit / Your Dad's Opinion For Dinner; American punk veterans Bad Religion could hit the Top 50 for the first time since 1996 with Age Of Unreason.

This week’s Albums Chart could include moves by Post Malone’s Beerbongs & Bentleys, Billie Eilish’s Dont Smile At Me, David Campbell’s Back In The Swing and more.

Shawn Mendes could take out a ninth Singles Chart Top 50 entry with ‘If I Can't Have You’; rappers Logic and Eminem team up for ‘Homicide’; British grime artist Stormzy could make his Top 50 debut with ‘Vossi Bop’; after hitting the Albums Chart recently with Cuz I Love You (#38 Apr. ’19), American singer-songwriter/rapper/flautist Lizzo could this week make her Singles Chart debut with ‘Truth Hurts’.
