Who'll top this week's ARIA Charts?

January 23, 2019

New releases come from Maggie Rogers, Cub Sport, James Blake and more.

There was no change at the top of the ARIA Charts last week, with ‘Sunflower’ by Post Malone & Swae Lee staying put at #1 for a third week on the Singles Chart and the soundtrack to the Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody also holding the top spot on the Albums Chart for a third week.

Who could we see hitting the top spots on the ARIA Charts?

Here are some of the potential debutants and movers we could see this week.

ALBUMs

American singer-songwriter Maggie Rogers could make her first ARIA Charts appearance with debut album, Heard It In A Past Life; Brisbane’s Cub Sport will be looking for their first Top 50 entry with their self-titled third album; British artist James Blake returns with fourth album, Assume Form; nu-metal band Papa Roach could take out a fifth Top 5 entry with Who Do You Trust?; rapper Future releases his seventh album, Future Hndrxx Presents: The Wizrd; British singer-songwriter Dodie could pick up a second chart entry with the EP, Human; American singer-songwriter Sharon Van Etten could make her Top 50 debut with fifth album, Remind Me Tomorrow.

This week’s Albums Chart could feature moves by Phil Collins’ The Singles, Mumford & Sons’ Delta, Florence + The Machine’s High As Hope and more.

Singles

Ariana Grande follows the #1 ‘Thank U, Next’ with ’7 Rings’; Dean Lewis releases ‘7 Minutes’, the second single from his forth-coming debut album; The Chainsmokers team up with Swedish singer Winona Oak on ‘Hope’; 5 Seconds Of Summer could hit the Top 50 with ‘Lie To Me’.

Look out for jumps up the Singles Chart this week by tracks including Sam Smith & Normani’s ‘Dancing With A Stranger’ and Calvin Harris & Rag'N'Bone Man’s ‘Giant’.
