Who'll top this week's ARIA Charts?

July 17, 2019

New releases come from Ed Sheeran, Dope Lemon, Thelma Plum and more.

At the top of the ARIA Charts last week, Lil Nas X made it 12 weeks at #1 on the Singles Chart with ‘Old Town Road’ and Billie Eilish returned to the top spot on the Albums Chart for a seventh week with When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?

Which acts could take out the top spots on the ARIA Charts this week?

Let’s look at some of the potential debutants and movers.

ALBUMs

British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran could be headed for his fourth #1 on the Albums Chart with No.6 Collaborations Project; Angus Stone returns to his Dope Lemon moniker for second album, Smooth Big Cat; Melbourne-based singer-songwriter Thelma Plum could hit the chart with her debut album, Better In Blak; Adelaide rapper Allday will be aiming for a third Top Ten with third album, Starry Night Over The Phone; the Beyoncé and Donald Glover-featured soundtrack to the new version of The Lion King could make its chart debut; American singer-songwriter Banks returns with third album, III.

This week’s Albums Chart could include moves for Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper’s A Star Is Born soundtrack and the Jonas Brothers’ Happiness Begins, among others.

Singles

This week’s Single Chart could see a load of new Ed Sheeran tracks making their debut including ‘Antisocial’, ‘South Of The Border’, ‘Remember The Name’, ‘Take Me Back To London’, ‘Put It All On Me’, ‘Way To Break My Heart’, ‘Feels’ and ‘1000 Nights’.

Look out for moves up the Singles Chart this week by Billie Eilish’s ‘Bad Guy’, plus Ed Sheeran’s ‘Cross Me’, ‘Best Part Of Me’ and ‘Blow’.
