Who'll top this week's ARIA Charts?

January 30, 2019

New releases come from Bring Me The Horizon, Backstreet Boys, J. Cole and more.

At the top of last week’s ARIA Charts, Ariana Grande took out her third #1 single with ‘7 Rings’ and the soundtrack to Bohemian Rhapsody held #1 on the Albums Chart for a fourth week.

Which acts could we see vying for the #1s on the ARIA Charts this week?

Let’s have a look at some of the possible debutants and movers.

ALBUMs

British rock band Bring Me The Horizon will be aiming for a fourth #1 album with sixth studio release, Amo; veteran boyband the Backstreet Boys could hit the Top 50 for the first time since 2013 with DNA; worship group Bethel Music could chart with a fifth live album, Victory (Live); alt-rock icons Weezer release the surprise covers album, Weezer (Teal Album); soprano Mirusia pays tribute to ARIA Hall Of Fame members The Seekers on A Salute To The Seekers; American punks Fidlar could take out a second chart entry with third album, Almost Free.

This week’s Album Chart could include moves for Cold Chisel’s The Best Of Cold Chisel: All For You, Keith Urban’s Graffiti U, Ocean Alley’s Chiaroscuro, George Ezra’s Staying At Tamara's and more.

Singles

After taking out five entries in the Top 50 in 2018, rapper J. Cole returns with ‘Middle Child’; fresh from topping the Triple J Hottest 100, Sydney’s Ocean Alley could hit the Singles Chart for the first time with ‘Confidence’; coming in at #2 in the Hottest 100, Australian house producer Fisher could make his Top 50 debut with ‘Losing It’; Peking Duk and Jack River join forces for the single ‘Sugar’.

Look out for jumps up the chart this week by singles including Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper’s ‘Shallow’, Travis Scott & Drake’s ‘Sicko Mode’, Dominic Fike’s ‘3 Nights’ and The Chainsmokers’ ‘Hope’.
