Six weeks at #1 for The Weeknd

Debuts by BTS, Lil Mosey and more!

The Weeknd’s ‘Blinding Lights’ is the #1 single on the ARIA Charts for a sixth successive week. The Canadian artist also scores a debut on this week’s chart with ‘After Hours’, the title track of his forthcoming fourth album, debuting at #11.
 
Capaldi’s second Top Ten hits a new peak at #7. The Scottish singer-songwriter recently won Song Of The Year and Best New Artist at the Brit Awards.
 
Arizona Zervas’ ‘Roxanne’ climbs back up the chart to #13 in its 16th week in the Top 50.
 
Holding its place in the Top 50 for a fifth week, Doja Cat’s chart debut ‘Say So’ jumps up seven spots to claim a new peak at #21. Its popularity continues to grow thanks to several dance challenge videos on TikTok using the song. Doja Cat’s album Hot Pink hits a new peak this week at #29.
 
There are also new peaks this week for Surfaces’ ‘Sunday Best’ (#30), SAINt JHN’s ‘Roses’ (#39) and Conan Gray’s ‘Maniac’ (#41).

#11: The Weeknd ‘After Hours’ – The Weeknd scoops up his ninth Top Ten single with ‘After Hours’. It’s the title track to the Canadian artist’s forthcoming fourth studio album, set for release on 20 March. It’s the third song from the album to chart after ‘Heartless’ (#10 Dec. ’19) and current #1 ‘Blinding Lights’ (#1 Jan. ’20).
 
#29: BTS ‘On’ – On top of their debut at #1 on the Albums Chart with Map Of The Soul: 7, BTS hit the Singles Chart for the first time in 2020 with ‘On’. It’s the Korean boy band’s fifth track to appear in the Top 50. Last year, they scored their first ever Top Ten entry with ‘Boy With Luv’ (#10 Apr. ’19). The digital edition of Map Of The Soul: 7 includes an alternate version of ‘On’ featuring Australian singer-songwriter Sia.
 
#42: Lil Mosey ‘Blueberry Faygo’ – Seattle rapper Lil Mosey makes his ARIA Top 50 debut with ‘Blueberry Faygo’. Mosey (real name Latham Echols) has released two albums: 2018’s Northbest and 2019’s Certified Hitmaker. Featuring on neither album, ‘Blueberry Faygo’ has become his biggest hit to date in the US and UK.
 
#43: Endor ‘Pump It Up’ – Originally released by single by Belgian artist Danzel in 2004, ‘Pump It Up’ hits the chart in 2020 thanks to a remix by British DJ Endor. The original version of the track only got as high as #84 on the chart during its run at the end of 2004. Peaking at #11 originally in the UK, the remix has so far gone as high as #8.
