March 25, 2020

New releases come from The Weeknd, The Smith Street Band, Adam Lambert and more.

The multi-artist live release Artists Unite For Fire Fight debuted at #1 on last week’s ARIA Albums Chart. On the Singles Chart, it was week nine in the top spot for The Weeknd’s ‘Blinding Lights’.
Who could we see taking out the #1s on the ARIA Charts this week?
Let’s take a look at some of the possible debutants and movers.
Canadian artist The Weeknd will be aiming for his third #1 album with After Hours; Melbourne’s The Smith Street Band could be headed for a new chart peak thanks to Live At The Triffid; the late country music legend could feature in both this week’s Singles and Albums charts, including with the compilation All The Hits And All New Love Songs; Adam Lambert returns with his first album in five years, Velvet; American country singer-songwriter Kelsea Ballerini take out a new chart peak with third album, Kelsea; on back of the Singles Chart success of ‘Maniac’ (#37 Mar. ’20), American Conan Gray releases his debut album, Kid Krow.
This week’s Albums Chart could include moves by the soundtrack to Frozen 2 and Luke Combs’ What You See Is What You Get, among others.
As well as a debut on this week’s Albums Chart, The Weeknd could score a new Top 50 entry on the Singles Chart with ‘In Your Eyes’.
We could see the following singles climb this week ARIA Singles Chart: SAINt JHN’s ‘Roses’, Surfaces’ ‘Sunday Best’, The Weeknd’s ‘After Hours’ and ‘Heartless’, Endor’s ‘Pump It Up’, and Kenny Rogers’ ‘The Gambler’, as well as his duet with Dolly Parton, ‘Islands In The Stream’.
