The volatility at the top of the ARIA Singles Chart continues this week with Danish band Lukas Graham becoming the fifth artist in as many weeks to claim the #1 spot. It’s one of three titles to make big jumps into the top ten this week (see below). Further down the top 50, both in their second week in the chart Coldplay’s ‘Hymn For The Weekend’ and Conrad Sewell’s ‘Remind Me’ have made respectable climbs, they’re now at #25 and #28 respectively.

As well as debuts from Tim Minchin and Daya (see below), there’s also new entries for Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello (‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ #39), Cyrus (‘Keep Talking’ #44) and Ellie Goulding (‘Something In The Way You Move’ #44).

Singles Chartifacts:

#1: Lukas Graham ‘7 Years’ – After debuting at #20 last week, ‘7 Years’ by Danish group Lukas Graham jumps to the #1 spot on the ARIA Singles Chart. They become the third Danish act to hit #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart, following on from Cut 'N' Move [‘Give It Up’ (#1 Feb. ’94)] Aqua [‘Barbie Girl’ (#1 Nov. ’97) and ‘Doctor Jones’ (#1 Dec. ’97)].

#7: Flo Rida ‘My House’ – A jump of eight spots for ‘My House’ in its fourth week in the top 50. It becomes Flo Rida’s eleventh top ten single in Australia and the first since ‘Can't Believe It’ (#7 Sept. ’13).

#9: Hilltop Hoods Feat. Montaigne & Tom Thum ‘1955’ – After debuting at #25 last week, ‘1955’ moves up 16 places to give the Hilltop Hoods a fifth top ten single. Its parent album ‘Drinking From The Sun, Walking Under Stars Restrung’ is out this week (w/c 19/2).

#11: Tim Minchin ‘Come Home (Cardinal Pell)’ – Australian writer, comedian, musician Tim Minchin makes his ARIA Singles Chart debut with ‘Come Home (Cardinal Pell)’. Money raised from sales of the satirical track will go towards a crowdfunding campaign set up to pay for abuse victims to travel to Rome.

#33: Daya ‘Hide Away’ – American singer-songwriter Daya makes her ARIA Charts debut with ‘Hide Away’. The 17 year old from Pittsburgh current sits at #24 on the Billboard Hot 100 with the track.
