Twelve years ago, the original Australian Idol finalists dominated the top of the ARIA Charts.

ALBUM

That's What I'm Talking About – Shannon Noll

The first of Shannon Noll’s two #1s on the ARIA Albums Chart came when his debut album That's What I'm Talking About spent four straight weeks in the top spot in February and March 2004. Released following Noll’s second placing in the first season of Australian Idol in 2003, That's What I'm Talking About spent a total of 13 weeks in the top ten.

Two weeks of the album’s #1 run coincided with the four-week run at #1 for Noll’s debut single ‘What About Me’ (#1 Feb. ’04). Second single ‘Drive’ peaked at #4 in April, while ‘Learn To Fly’, the third single from the album, spent one week at #1 in July 2004.

That's What I'm Talking About was #2 on the 2004 ARIA End Of Year Albums Chart. It was accredited 5x Platinum.

Shannon Noll also topped the ARIA Albums Chart with his second album Lift (#1 Oct. ’05). He last charted with A Million Suns (#8 Oct. ’11).

SINGLE

All I Need Is You – Guy Sebastian

‘All I Need Is You’ became the second of Guy Sebastian’s six #1s to date on the ARIA Singles Chart when it spent one week at the top in March 2004. Released as the second single from the 2003 Australian Idol winner’s debut album Just As I Am (#1 Dec. ’03), ‘All I Need Is You’ debuted at #1 and spent a total of four weeks in the top ten.

The single received a Platinum accreditation.  It was #47 on the 2004 ARIA End Of Year Singles Chart.

Guy Sebastian first topped the Single Chart with ‘Angels Brought Me Here’ (#1 Dec. ’03) and has had further success with ‘Out With My Baby’ (#1 Oct. ’04), ‘Like It Like That’ (#1 Sept. ’09), ‘Who's That Girl’ (#1 Dec. ’10) and ‘Battle Scars’ (#1 Aug. ’12).

Guy Sebastian’s most recent appearance on the ARIA Singles Chart was with ‘Black & Blue’ (#17 Nov. ’15).
