Who'll top this week's ARIA Charts?

Contenders include The Rolling Stones, Cold Chisel, Childish Gambino and more.

There were new #1s on last week’s ARIA Charts, with The Weeknd picking up his second #1 on the Albums Chart with Starboy and Clean Bandit hit the top spot on the Singles Chart with ‘Rockabye’.

Who will be vying for the #1 spots this week’s ARIA Charts?

Here are some of the challengers.

ALBUMs

The Rolling Stones could pick up their first #1 album in over 20 years with their first album in over ten years, Blue & Lonesome; Cold Chisel’s Live Tapes series could pick up its highest debut with The Live Tapes Vol. 3: Live At The Manly Vale Hotel, Sydney June 7, 1980; American artist Childish Gambino could score his first top ten with third album "Awaken, My Love!"; an all-star cast including Sia, The Roots, Chance The Rapper and Alicia Keys reinterpret tracks from the musical Hamilton on The Hamilton Mixtape; the career so far of Brisbane singer-songwriter Kate Miller-Heidke is compiled on The Best Of Kate Miller-Heidke: Act One; Guy Sebastian could return to the Albums Chart for the first time since 2014 with Part 1 – EP; singer-songwriter John Legend returns with fifth album Darkness And Light; Canadian electronic music producer deadmau5 could chart with eighth album W:/2016ALBUM/.

Albums that could make a move up the chart include Keith Urban’s Ripcord, the Trolls soundtrack, Human Nature’s The Christmas Album and A Tribe Called Quest’s We Got It From Here... Thank You 4 Your Service.

Singles

Nicki Minaj & Mike Will Made-It team up for the track ‘Black Barbies’; as well as a possible Albums Chart debut, Childish Gambino could pick up a Singles Chart entry with ‘Redbone’.

Look out for jumps up the Singles Chart this week by Peking Duk’s ‘Stranger’, The Weeknd’s ‘I Feel It Coming’, Frenship’s ‘Capsize’ and Andy Grammer ‘Fresh Eyes’.
