Week five at #1 for Despacito

June 17, 2017

Debuts for David Guetta, The Veronicas and more!

It’s week five at #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart for Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee’s Justin Bieber-featured track ‘Despacito’. It’s currently also spending its fifth week at #1 in the US and UK.

In its fourth week in the chart, Liam Payne’s ‘Strip That Down’ has climbed up a further two spots, snaring a new peak at #3.

A jump of eight spots to #20 for ‘Thunder’ moves Imagine Dragons into the top 20 for the first time since late-2013.

At #36, Childish Gambino’s ‘Redbone’ returns to the top 50 for the first time since February 2017. Its resurgence comes on the back of it becoming a popular internet meme.

This week’s chart also includes new peaks for Charlie Puth’s ‘Attention’ (#12), Jonas Blue’s ‘Mama’ (#13), Rita Ora’s ‘Your Song’ (#19), Martin Garrix & Troye Sivan’s ‘There For You’ (#23), Post Malone’s ‘Congratulations’ (#32), Major Lazer’s ‘Know No Better’ (#34), Hailee Steinfeld’s ‘Most Girls’ (#37) and Maggie Lindemann’s ‘Pretty Girl’ (#40).
