Who'll top this week's ARIA Charts?

June 21, 2017

Contenders include Lorde, Nickelback, Royal Blood and more.

There was no change at the top of the ARIA Charts last week: Ed Sheeran’s ÷ held #1 on the Albums Chart for a 13th week and ‘Despacito’ by Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee Feat. Justin Bieber notched up its fifth straight week at #1 on the Singles Chart.

Which acts will we see challenging for the #1s on this week’s ARIA Charts?

Here are some of the likely debutants and movers.

ALBUMs

Almost four years on from Pure Heroine (#1 Oct. ’13), Kiwi singer-songwriter Lorde returns with second album Melodrama; Canadian rock band Nickelback release their ninth studio album, Feed The Machine; British duo Royal Blood could score their second top ten appearance with second album How Did We Get So Dark?; indie folk band Fleet Foxes return with their first album since 2011, Crack-Up; Americana singer-songwriter Jason Isbell teams up with his The 400 Unit for their third album together, The Nashville Sound; Californian pop punk band Hey Violet release their first album since a name and personnel change, From The Outside.

Albums that could make a move up this week’s chart include the soundtrack to Sing, Lorde’s Pure Heroine, The Weeknd’s Starboy and Adele’s 21.

Singles

DJ Khaled follows up ‘I'm the One’ (#1 May ’17) with the Rihanna and Bryson Tiller-featured track ‘Wild Thoughts’; American rapper Macklemore releases the solo single ‘Glorious’; Calvin Harris enlists the talents of Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry and Big Sean for his new single, ‘Feels’.

Look out for moves up this week’s Singles Chart from Liam Payne’s ‘Strip That Down’, Niall Horan’s ‘Slow Hands’, Lorde’s ‘Green Light’ and Hailee Steinfeld’s ‘Most Girls’.

The weekly ARIA Charts announcement happens every Saturday at 5pm.
